Article summary

Overview

The 24.2.2 release includes several minor bug fixes addressing issues from recent UI changes. It also provides updates to supported versions. These improvements enhance the overall stability and usability of the application.

Bug Fixes

  • KIT-10777 - Selecting any tab under Project Settings and reloading the page would trigger a "TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'id')" error. The error no longer occurs, ensuring smooth navigation within Project Settings.

  • KIT-12829 - Fixed a security issue where the Connections page could expose credential details by allowing a trial-and-error comparison of user-entered values with saved values without making a request to the server. The Save button is now not disabled when entering the current value for sensitive connector fields, preventing any inference of credential exposure.

  • KIT-13340, 13666 - Fixed an issue where selecting "Hide Sidebar" in the Journey Map did not fully hide the sidebar, causing it to overlap with left-hand side tabs and interfere with the user interface.

The sidebar now hides completely when the "Hide Sidebar" option is selected, and the left-hand side of the interface remains unaffected.

  • KIT-13341 - While renaming a node in the Journey Map, even after changing the name and saving the changes, would not reflect on the UI. Node name now updates correctly after saving.

  • KIT-13349 - The headers for a Columnar Node were not visible unless the mouse was hovered over them, or the column or row was selected.

The description is now displayed properly without requiring hover or selection.

  • KIT-13351 - The text associated with journey map icons would overlap with adjacent icons.

The layout has been adjusted to prevent text from overlapping with other journey map icons.

  • KIT-13370 - While adding a name to the journey link, even after saving, would not reflect on the UI.

The journey link name now updates correctly after saving changes.

  • KIT-13377 - The job processors would stop functioning after losing connection to the system’s jobs queue. This prevented the system from automatically recovering, leaving some jobs unprocessed. The issue has been resolved to ensure that the job processors can now recover automatically even if a connection is lost, ensuring continuous task processing.

  • KIT-13411 -  The characteristics and results for a Decision Tree Node were not visible unless the mouse was hovered over them or the node was selected.

The text now displays properly without requiring hover or selection.

  • KIT-13467 - The color palette in the Javascript code editor and literal panel, where the shade of teal used for text was difficult to read.

Users can now clearly view and differentiate text when creating or editing JavaScript nodes and literals.

  • KIT-13468 - Fixed several issues with the Comment Node in the graph editor:

    • When adding a comment with up to 255 characters, the text no longer spills out when the component is resized to a narrow width.

    • The vertical scrollbar now only appears when the content exceeds the height of the component, eliminating unnecessary scrollbars for fully visible text.

    • The component now retains its resized width when the cursor is released, preventing it from springing back to the original size.

    • The resize button has been moved to the bottom right of the component for better accessibility.

These changes ensure that text is properly contained, scrollbars function correctly, and resizing behaves as expected.

  • KIT-13471 - Users were unable to copy text or error messages from the visual test console.

Users can now select and copy text directly from the console, making it easier to share information without needing to rely on screenshots.

  • KIT-13473 - The indentation for schema elements made it difficult to distinguish between parent and child elements.

The indentation has been improved, making it easier to visually differentiate between parent and child elements.

  • KIT-13475 - The longer node names were getting clipped in the graph editor, with no way to access or view the full name.

The node names now wrap to a maximum of three lines before being truncated with an ellipsis. Additionally, the font weight has been adjusted from 300 to 400, improving readability.

  • KIT-13477 - The users were unable to copy parameter names by dragging the cursor within a JS node.

Users can now select and copy parameters as expected.

  • KIT-13478 -The "Edit Link" options were not visible when there were more than 30 variables in the schema, making the options inaccessible.

A scrollbar now appears when the content exceeds the viewport, and the lower pane remains the same size when switching between selected nodes and links.

  • KIT-13480 - The background color of the comment component was the same as the GoTo lines that connect nodes. When nodes were surrounded by the comment component, the lines would disappear, causing visual confusion.

The background opacity of the comment node has been changed, ensuring the GoTo lines remains visible.

  • KIT-13496 - The column and row labels for a 2D Table Node 2D Table Node were not visible unless the mouse was hovered over them or the column or row was selected.

The text now displays correctly without requiring hover or selection.

  • KIT-13501 - The listener ID field and the full listener URL field could no longer be selected directly from the API listener.

While the copy-to-clipboard button still worked, the fields are now selectable again for manual copying.

  • KIT-13502 - The name of a Journey Step node would disappear or get clipped when selected from the list in the graph editor.

The full name of the node is now properly displayed without being clipped after selection.

  • KIT-13577 - The long Journey Step names were getting cut off in the graph editor and journey map, making them difficult to read.

Names of Journey Steps now wrap to the next line, allowing for better visibility in both the journey mapper and graph editor.

  • KIT-13611 - The tabs for open graphs would disappear when a user navigated from an open graph to the graph library.

This behavior, which was previously functional, is now restored.

  • KIT-13661 - Fixed an issue that caused the server to crash when attempting to send a Deployment State alert email under certain conditions. When there is a problem with sending the alert email, an appropriate error message will be displayed, and the application will continue to run as intended.

  • KIT-13706 - The text boxes for "Description" and "Changelog" were cut off at the bottom and appeared with a scroll bar when sharing a managed graph, making them difficult to read.

The text boxes now fit the page correctly, ensuring all content is fully visible and accessible.

  • KIT-13744 - The schema was incorrectly indented, causing values that are not children to appear as if they were. The indentation now accurately reflects the hierarchy, ensuring clarity in the schema's structure.
